PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Assistant in this position shall be under the administrative direction of the Instructor of Summer Elm. Base/Softball. Primary responsibilities involve assisting with the planning, organization, supervision and evaluation of the summer Base/Softball program. The normal work period for this position is 7 weeks (8 weeks if a tournament is scheduled).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Punch membership card each time player attends.
- Give all registered players a basic understanding of the fundamentals of Basketball;
a. Fundamentals include:
i. Hitting
ii. Fielding
iii. Throwing
iv. Catching
v. Base Running
vi. Versatility
vii. Game Play
viii. Rules
- Instructions are given at several school sites.
- Keep up-to-date records on attendance
- Submit yearly report to Coordinator of Recreation
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare Base/Softball schedule of the summer sessions.
