Summer Associate-Connecticut Foodshare Food Access Champion

Summer Associates (SAs) will have opportunity to increase food access for neighbors through, & not limited to:

• Food sortation
• Agency partner operational support
• Bolster efficiencies at mobile pantries
• Farmer/hydroponic operations support
• Support of food bank operations through food & facilities safety
• Involvement in activities that support neighbor engagement & food security initiatives

Following a direct service model affording SAs a "front row seat" to the impactful operations of CTFS. This role follows the direct service model.

Summer Associates will serve in various departments offering exposure to the operations of a Feeding America network food bank. This is a special 8-week program where SAs will serve neighbors and truly support operations in a meaningful and impactful way.

The role is based in the Wallingford CTFS facility from 61526-8926 serving 40 hours/week. SAs will benefit from a cohesive cohort professional development & collaboration.
