Summer Grass Cutter
Qualifications: Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate Has a valid driver's license Has aptitude and competence in tractor and mower operation and maintenance Has the physical ability to perform heavy physical labor Has the ability to lift and move objects weighing at least 75 pounds numerous times per day
Reports To: Director of Facility Management
Job Goal: To cut the grass at all school facilities on a regular basis to provide for a neat appearance
Performance Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with and follow written policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities
- Cut the grass at all school facilities
- Is responsible for every day maintenance of tractor and mower
- Secure a purchase order for all authorized purchases
- Ensure that tools, equipment and materials under his/her supervision are stored properly
- Maintain necessary records
- Ensure that accepted safety practices are followed at all times
- Transport tractor and mower to each work site
- Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor
