Position Title Summer Grounds (Part-Time / Torrington) Job Description

Position:

Part-time positions available, Non-Benefitted, FLSA Non-Exempt, 18-19 hours per week, Mon-Fri, Days, 3-4 hours daily; flexible shifts;

Start Date:

As Soon as Possible / Negotiable

Essential Duties:

• Perform variety of general cleaning-custodial work, which includes vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, stocking, buffing floors, cleaning windows, and refuse collection/disposal to include recyclable material
• Open/close buildings and/or campus
• Prepare facilities for special events
• Typical assigned areas are hallways, dorm rooms, office, restrooms, common areas, classrooms and foyer
• Provide general care of campus building to include exterior grounds and landscaping

Hourly Wage Rate: $12.00 per hour (depends on experience)

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or HS Equivalency Certificate
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
• Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and tools safely and properly in order to conduct routine deep cleaning
• Adhere to hazardous chemical storage and use procedures
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documents
• Must speak and understand English and follow directions
• Lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders and scaffolding
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Current and valid state-issued Driver License
