Summer Instructional Swim Assistant

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Summer Instructional Swim Assistant in this position shall be under the administrative direction of the Summer Instructional Swim Director. Primary responsibilities involve the instruction and supervision of children in the swimming pool during each swim session. The normal work period for this position is 7 weeks.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Instruct students in the following fundamentals: • Water Comfort • Breath Control • Floating • Kicking • Strokes

2. Job Duties and Instructions will be given by Summer Instructional Swim Director.

3. Submit yearly report to Coordinator of Recreation.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report rule violations to the Summer Instructional Swim Director in a timely manner.
