    The Carrier Sales internship supports the daily execution of carrier sales operations while gaining first-hand experience in the transportation industry. This role provides meaningful exposure to freight brokerage, carrier partnerships, and transportation operations, enabling interns to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment while developing the operational, analytical, and professional skills needed to launch a successful career in transportation and logistics. 

    What You’ll Do 
    • Shipment Execution Support: Support assigned shipments from carrier assignment through delivery by coordinating with carriers, monitoring activity, and helping identify and resolve potential issues. 
    • Carrier Procurement: Assist with sourcing carrier capacity while gaining hands-on experience with transportation pricing, market conditions, carrier selection, and the procurement process. 
    • Carrier Stratification: Help identify, qualify, and onboard new carriers while building professional relationships and maintaining accurate carrier information and documentation. 
    • Transportation Industry Knowledge: Develop a foundational understanding of freight brokerage, transportation terminology, market fundamentals, and how transportation supports the broader supply chain. 
    • Professional Development: Strengthen communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and professional skills through hands-on experience, coaching, training, and participation in a fast-paced team environment.

    What We’re Looking For  
    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program (junior/senior standing) or recent graduate  
    • Majoring in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. 
    • Strong communicator with curiosity, drive, and the ability to thrive under pressure  
    • Interest in logistics, transportation, or B2B sales 
    • Reliable, accountable, and eager to learn   
    Details 
    • Compensation: $17/hr. and up to $1,000 performance bonus 
    • Duration: May 17, 2027 - August 13th, 2027 
    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/ week) 
    • Location: Grand Rapids, MI
