Summer Internship - Electrician

The Electrician Intern will gain hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance setting, assisting licensed electricians with basic tasks while observing and learning how electrical systems are installed and maintained. Essential Functions

• Perform hands-on tasks such as preparing work areas, organizing tools, running wire, and assisting with basic electrical installations or repairs.
• Observe safety practices and assist with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Shadow experienced electricians to understand equipment maintenance and electrical diagnostics.
• Follow instructions and complete assignments as directed by supervisors or licensed electricians.
• Participate in training sessions and safety meetings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, dust, noise).
• Requires manual dexterity for using tools and visual acuity for detailed electrical work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a high school or trade program focused on electrical or industrial technology.
• Strong interest in the electrical trade and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and safely handle tools.
