The Information Technology Department is seeking one motivated student to work with the team over the Summer to prepare the District's technology for use in the next school year. The position is vital to the District as it will ensure that our technology is ready for our stakeholders and will help promote a productive learning environment. This role will involve three half days per week over the course of the summer. Work will include chromebook unboxing and setup, working with IT Technicians on summer projects and reconnecting district technology in classrooms.

Position: Summer IT Assistant

School: Assigned based on need (may rotate between multiple school locations)

Reports To: Supervisor of IT/Shared Services IT Supervisor

Start Date: June 24, 2026

End Date: August 19, 2026

Daily Start: 8:00am

Daily End: 12:00pm

Work Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Hourly Rate of Pay: $ State of Connecticut minimum wage

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Chromebook unboxing and setup
  • Prepare new devices for distribution and student us
  • Assisting the IT Team with disconnecting and connecting district computers
  • Inventory technology devices
  • Assist with other IT projects, as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers.
  • Ability to work both independently and with other District employees.
