JOB GOAL
The Summer Learning Program will provide students with learning opportunities that will lead to deeper learning of the skills each student needs to learn. Utilizing data the summer teaching staff will create individualized learning plans in the areas needing remediation. The summer staff will focus on content learning increasing students self-efficacy for students to develop key competencies and skills. Students will be able to apply knowledge learned and engage in work that matters to them. Teachers will utilize high-leverage practices that support deeper learning in the needed areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Massachusetts Licensure
Bachelors Degree or higher.
Knowledge and understanding of second language acquisition or SEI Endorsement.
Ability to relate communicate effectively with teachers students parents and administrators.
Successful experience teaching students with various abilities interests and needs.

Such other alternatives as the Superintendent may deem acceptable and appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Parent communication and outreach
Track student work and progress to provide Progress Reports & Final Grades
Scheduling
Communication with the Coordinator and Counselors about student progress
Utilize content-level work focused on skills supported by data needing remediation for credit recovery.
Insure mid-summer report is reviewed with students and caregivers
Fulfill such other responsibilities as may from time to time be required.
Duration
FHS Summer Learning Program will run from July 20 - August 6
Monday - Thursday - 730 - 1230
There will be one day added for planning. Schedules for individual class TBD. Total of 13 days
SALARY
45 an hour total max for 13 days 2925
