Become a Summer Lift Operator at Gunstock Mountain Resort, located in the stunning Winnipesaukee Lakes Region! Since 1937, we have transformed our iconic ski resort into a four-season playground, providing exhilarating outdoor adventures and high-energy summer events for guests of all ages. As a Summer Lift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our guests by helping them load and unload safely, monitoring lift lines, and maintaining smooth operations throughout the mountain.
Your typical schedule will include weekends starting in May, ramping up to Thursday through Sunday from July to Labor Day, then back to weekends only through October, with a commitment to teamwork and safety at the core of everything you do. To excel as a Summer Lift Operator at Gunstock Mountain Resort, you'll need a variety of essential skills and qualities. First and foremost, you must be at least 18 years old and ready to spend significant time in a stationary position while also being active around the lifts. Comfort with climbing stairs, operating lift controls, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds is essential. Strong situational awareness and good judgment are crucial for maintaining a safe environment for guests, ensuring they have a smooth experience while enjoying the mountain.
You'll also need effective communication skills to work seamlessly within your small team and to interact positively with guests. If you thrive in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere and enjoy problem-solving, you will be a great fit for this role.
