Winter4Kids is seeking a creative, motivated, and organized Marketing Intern to support the organization's marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This internship is ideal for a student or emerging professional interested in nonprofit marketing, sports marketing, social media strategy, and mission-driven storytelling.
The Marketing Intern will assist with marketing planning, audience research, content creation, and social media engagement while gaining hands-on experience supporting a nonprofit focused on empowering youth through winter sports and outdoor experiences.
Responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications Support
- Attending promotional events
- Assist with seasonal marketing planning and campaign development
- Support creation of promotional materials and marketing content
- Research marketing trends, audience engagement strategies, and community outreach opportunities
- Assist with drafting social media captions, email content, and promotional messaging
- Help maintain consistent branding and messaging across platforms
Social Media & Content Creation
- Coordinate and execute social media takeovers during events, programs, and activities
- Capture photo and video content for social media and marketing use
- Assist with content scheduling and social media calendar organization
- Monitor engagement and help identify opportunities to grow audience reach
- Support storytelling efforts highlighting program impact, athletes, and community partnerships
Research & Administrative Support
- Conduct market and audience research to support outreach initiatives
- Assist with organizing marketing assets and campaign tracking
- Support event promotion and community engagement initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Interest in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, sports management, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Creative mindset with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Canva and social media tools preferred but not required
