The Outdoor Educator will deliver and assist with the planning and coordination of all of Nevada Outdoor School's educational programs include youth, training, and community programs. Members will facilitate outdoor learning experiences, and lead summer camps and programs for youth of 4 to 17 years old. Assist with formal and informal outdoor training. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds in an outdoor environment. Hike up to 3 miles on uneven terrain and increased elevation. Develop and facilitate NOS Nature Clubs. Plan and lead community hikes, nature programs, and facilitate weekend volunteer stewardship projects with partners. Gather/obtain and keep tidy all necessary programming supplies. NOS programs typically occur in rural northern Nevada (Elko, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Pershing, and White Pine Counties); however, programming can occur across the state of Nevada. Travel is required at times, but always prearranged with some overnights.
