Job Title: Seasonal PC Technology Assistant Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Reports to: Director of Information Technology Pay Grade: $10.00 per Hr.

Primary Purpose:
Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and network and software applications throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Must have completed computer tech course
A+ certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Experience in the areas of computer and peripheral maintenance and repair
Experience with Windows XP, Windows 7 and MAC operating systems
Experience installing, configuring, and servicing desktop systems, laptop systems, chromebooks, PDA's, network peripherals, and local peripherals
Experience in connectivity and servicing of computer systems to LAN/WAN
Experience in configuring and servicing IP/LAN printers and other network peripherals
Experience in interfacing with customers and other non-technical persons
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
Must be physically able to lift desktop systems and peripherals
Complete other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor or other Information Technology administration
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Installation and Repair
Install, configure, and service desktop systems, laptop systems, chrome books, PDAs, laser printers and other peripherals
Install, configure, and service operating system software used by the district
Install, configure, and service the districts applications software
Analyze, solve and report complex desktop LAN/WAN connectivity failures/issues to supervisor
Provided excellent customer service with follow-up/follow through techniques
Provide technical support both oral and written to other technicians, LAN/WAN engineers, and
Information Technology Management
Team member for campus based technology initiatives
Comply with all incident management and department policies and procedures
Ensure the classrooms, instructional labs, and administrative offices are clean and safe environments
Perform quality assurance checks on inventory of campus technology equipment and maintain the inventory of campus technology equipment
Attend District Staff Development training, Instructional Technology Training, and Information
Technology meetings
Assist in satisfying state/national technology initiatives
Must provide quality service and meet department Service Level Agreement standards
Perform all other tasks and duties assigned by supervisor or Information Technology Management
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Equipment Used:
Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations. Personal computers and peripherals, including modems and printers.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent district wide travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day.
