Position Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Program Directors, provide leadership to the on-the-ground orientation staff team, including 2-3 interns and/or assistants per orientation, to ensure a welcoming, supportive, and well-organized orientation experience.
Collaborate with orientation planning team members to organize arrival and departure procedures for staff, as well as orientation housing registration and transportation.
Communicate with summer staff as needed regarding orientation housing and transportation to the Villages.
Attend daily Dean Meeting each morning during orientation to review the days schedule and respond to questions or facilitate schedule adjustments as needed.
Ensure announcements are made throughout orientation, particularly at mealtimes, to provide critical updates and ensure clear communication with all orientation participants.
Be the primary on-site staff member to organize supplies, technology room setup, materials, forms, and sign-in processes for orientation sessions in collaboration with other staff.
Provide on-site support and assistance as needed to staff attending orientation weeks, including answering questions, connecting staff with resources, and coordinating ensuring the availability of after-hours assistance as needed.
Support guest speakers and session leaders and lead orientation sessions as needed.
Organize surveys for individual sessions and the overall orientation experience review, compile survey data after orientation, and share with the appropriate stakeholders in order to ensure continuous improvement of orientation processes and content.
In between orientations, provide additional administrative support to Programs staff team as needed; may include tasks not directly related to orientation but that support the overall staff and villager experience during CLV sessions.
Ensure orientation content is provided appropriately to staff arriving late and missing larger orientations, particularly for staff at the Korean Village with planned late arrivals who will need to be oriented and trained in-Village the week of June 29.
