Job Description:
This role will be responsible for serving as a pool Lifeguard and teaching program classes.
Examples of Duties:
Instructs Water Safety Classes for all age levels and skill abilities and maintains records of these classes.
Maintains the cleanliness of the locker rooms, pool area, aquatic equipment, and pool water.
Administers First Aid / CPR when necessary.
Enforces rules and regulations of the facility.
Answers questions from the public.
Acts as Pool Manager in case of absence.
Conducts or officiates swim meets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
One year related experience and/or training
High School Diploma (or GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver’s License
First Aid/CPR for Professional Rescuers
Starfish Water Safety Instructor certification
Starguard Lifeguard Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a lifeguard
