Summer Student Accounting Analyst position within the Controller's Office, preferred for college work-study students.
Job Requirements:
- Full-time college student (graduate or undergraduate), primarily sophomores or upperclassmen in Accounting, Finance, or related Business majors; work-study award preferred.
- Available from May 11th to August 23rd, with up to 35 hours/week. Schedule adjustments require supervisor approval.
- Must possess knowledge of GAAP, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and adherence to university values.
Job Description:
- Assist Accounting Analysts with reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and verifying organizational data.
- Review grant transactions for compliance, create journal entries, and support post-award services such as invoicing and reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, track deposits, and coordinate asset tagging and inventory counts.
- Perform additional departmental support tasks as needed.
