Christina Seix Academy is launching a new Summer Teaching Fellow Coordinator role for Summer 2025 and is seeking an enthusiastic and organized team member to take on this exciting opportunity. The Coordinator will support our cohort of Summer Teaching Fellows, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the 6-week program. Responsibilities will include onboarding support, community-building, and coordinating occasional evening or weekend social activities. This role is designed to ensure Fellows have a meaningful, connected, and enriching experience while at CSA, and it offers the Coordinator the chance to mentor, guide, and take ownership of developing and launching a new initiative.

The Summer Fellow Coordinator would work closely with the Summer Programming leadership team, teachers and residential life staff members to create a supportive, engaging, and community-oriented experience for the Fellows, both inside and outside the classroom.

This is a paid position with a $1,500 stipend and includes optional on-campus housing in the quads during the 6-week Summer program.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Summer Teaching Fellows throughout the 6-week program;

  • Assist with development and implementation of a Summer Fellow orientation;

  • Welcome and help acclimate Fellows, especially those traveling from outside the area;

  • Support onboarding in collaboration with academic and program leadership;

  • Plan and host occasional informal after-hours and weekend social events for community-building;

  • Conduct periodic check-ins with Fellows to monitor experience and offer guidance;

  • Collaborate with CSA staff to support Fellows' integration into classroom and camp activities;

  • Troubleshoot challenges and celebrate successes throughout the summer;

  • As this is a new role, responsibilities may evolve as the Summer Fellows Program develops so flexibility and openness to emerging needs are essential;

  • The Coordinator is encouraged to bring their own ideas to the role, including proposing initiatives or activities that enhance the Fellow experience;

  • Provide feedback to leadership on program successes and potential areas for future improvement.

Physical and Emotional Demands: Work is active; it may require long periods of standing and walking, as well as occasional sitting, reaching at or above shoulder height, twisting, pushing/pulling and stooping/bending/lifting to perform activities with students and staff; must be able to work in an open-concept environment where noise and other activities may at times interfere with concentration. Must be able to alter plans/routines when unexpected, stressful situations and multiple interruptions occur without projecting stress/frustration that would adversely affect the work environment.
