The Office of Business Hospitality and Auxiliary Services is seeking a Temporary Truck Driver for our Logistics team.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- pick up and delivery of mail packages goods on the Oakland campus
- as well as Branch Campuses and other off-campus areas owned or operated by the University of Pittsburgh
- The position requires driving on and off-campus
- Incumbent must be familiar with the greater Pittsburgh area and surroundings
- Ability to prioritize work
- Requires extensive walking, sitting, driving up to six hours a day, and lifting at least 70 lbs
- Courtesy and professionalism at all times is a must
- Special projects as assigned
The selected candidate is required to pass a mandatory DOT drug and alcohol screening and to have a satisfactory report from the DMV.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License
- Two years of truck driving experience with a truck of at least 18 ft. in length
- Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with air brakes and Hazmat endorsement (H is preferred but not required)
