Role Description Engineering Intern, Water Business Line – Austin or San Antonio office.Role Accountabilities Evaluate, plan, and design projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment, conveyance, pipelines, and pumping facilities.Assess, develop, and support sustainability and resilience projects, conducting vulnerability and mitigation assessments for utilities, municipalities, and cities.Perform fieldwork: site visits, sample collection, water quality analyses, technology evaluations, and plant operations data gathering.Assist in troubleshooting processes and optimizing operations.Support asset management projects with data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and performance evaluations of facilities.Prepare reports, presentations, and audio‑visual materials; participate in client meetings.Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards; facilitate coordination for timely completion.Collaborate independently and as part of a team, coordinating with colleagues across the U.S. and internationally.Learn and use digital tools such as SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance collaboration and project delivery.Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or a closely related discipline.Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Preferred Qualifications Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors.EIT certification.Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).401(k) plan.Short- and long-term disability insurance.Life insurance.Paid parental leave.Reward and recognition program.Optional wellness benefits.Adoption assistance.Tuition reimbursement.9 paid holidays and 15 days paid time off (PTO) accruing per year.Salary range: $25.00 – $37.45 per hour.EEO Statement Arcadis is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
