Job Objective: The Summer Youth Employment Opportunity (SYEO) provides the City of Little Rock's youth between the ages of 16-21 (Youth Interns) with paid summer employment, including training, for up to six weeks during the summer months. SYEO also provides training on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, and opportunities to continue educational and social growth.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and no older than 21 by June 1, 2026.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This year's Summer Youth Employment Opportunity (SYEO) job placements will only be offered to applicants who complete the preboarding and onboarding processes. Placement will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so please make sure to read all instructions and supplemental questions carefully to complete your application correctly.
Attendance at the onboarding session and orientation is required in order to move forward in the Summer Youth Internship process. Students should continue to monitor their email and text messages regularly for important communication updates throughout the program.
