SUMMARY
As a Cashier/Counter Server you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience by providing excellent guest service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized dining room. This role combines cashier and bussing responsibilities, requiring flexibility to support multiple areas of the restaurant while ensuring guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
WHAT YOU WILL DO 
•    Greet every guest with a friendly and professional attitude. 
•    Accurately process credit card, gift card, and other payment transactions. 
•    Operate Square Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately. 
•     Answer guest questions regarding menu items, pricing, allergens, and restaurant offerings. 
•    Assist guests with beverage selections, condiments, and other dining needs. 
•    Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams regarding guest requests or special orders.
•    Monitor and maintain dining room cleanliness and proactively address spills or safety hazards.
•    Promptly clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables. 
•    Refill napkins, utensils, lids, cups, condiments, and beverage supplies. 
•    Transport dishes, trays, and utensils to the dishwashing area. 
•    Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed. 
•    Sweep, mop, and maintain guest-facing areas throughout service.  
•    Assist with opening, closing, and side work assignments.
•    Monitor and help manage the inventory of the kitchen and counter and make sure the food is stocked appropriately
•    Follows state policies and regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
•    Must demonstrate competency in reading, writing and arithmetic with accuracy in math. 
•    Must be able to learn menus, be proficient in handling large sums of money and demonstrate ability to multi-task, e.g., ring several checks at once, serve several guests at once while maintaining interactions between other staff and guests.
•    Assist with other restaurant positions as needed, including event assistance.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED DO GET THE JOB DONE
•    A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
•    Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred but not required. 
•    Strong customer service and communication skills. 
•    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
•    Dependable with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
•    Beer knowledge is a plus but not required
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Certification
•    Must be at least 21 years of age
WORK SCHEDULE
•    Shifts vary 
WORKING CONDITIONS
•    Stand and walk for extended periods.
•    Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
•    May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
•    Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. 
•    Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
•    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
•    Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
