Sunday Church Nursery Aide

You will have the opportunity to work with young children alongside another adult to provide dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to the children, ages 0-5, while at our Church, during Sunday morning worship. Pay: $20 per hour Childcare hours include every Sunday 9:30 am to 11:30 am. You may have the option to work other church events, i.e. Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Christmas Eve, Vacation Bible School, choir concert etc. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Care for and support the needs of children from 0-5 years old
• Assist Sunday School teachers if no children attend nursery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 5 with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities
• High School Diploma or GED.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 21 years of age as required by NYS Law
• Completion of Child Protection Policy Training and background check
• First Aid training
• Completion of CPR training for infants and children
• Must adhere to First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson Child Protection Policy
• Cleaning or straightening the room and cleaning any toys before leaving.
