Description
Construction Superintendent
Our construction clients, based on the north side of Indianapolis, are looking for Superintendents to manage ground-up commercial construction projects. One firm handles projects ranging from $3M to $15M, while the other focuses on projects $20M and above. These roles will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities.
Construction Superintendent Requirements
Bachelors degree in a construction management with 3+ years of commercial construction or related field preferred or 6+ years of Superintendent / Field experience without a degree.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
OSHA 30 certification or other relevant certifications preferred.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities and staff.
Set up and maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office/trailer.
Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original and edited plans and specifications.
Prepare and maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems that may impede schedule and/or costs.
Order materials, manage lead times to maintain schedule, and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program.
Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately. Conduct weekly Tool Box Talks.
Maintain weekly schedule meeting with vendors and subcontractors to project the upcoming three weeks expectations.

structural steel ground-up: 2 years (Preferred)
commercial structural concrete: 1 year (Preferred)
ground-up commercial construction in excess of $5M minimum: 4 years (Required)
multifamily / senior living / hotel ground-up: 1 year (Preferred)
