Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee key development projects. Initially, the superintendent will assist in a commercial development project aimed at repurposing an old facility into a complex for city youth. This mixed-use facility will include housing, a training center, and a commercial kitchen, connecting two adjacent buildings. After completing this project, the superintendent will join a team focused on rebuilding or replacing older commercial buildings in Baltimore City.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage commercial development projects.
• Assist with the repurposing of old facilities into mixed-use complexes.
• Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors on site.
• Ensure effective implementation of MEP project upgrades.
• Supervise interior construction and rehabilitation work.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience working for a General Contractor in a project support role.
• Proficiency in managing project schedules.
• Experience with MEP project upgrades.
• Strong interior construction experience, particularly with rehabilitation work.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors across various projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction management and tenant improvement.

Work Environment

This role involves working on site with a small project team. The current project site is exposed to the elements during renovations. Our projects involve adaptive re-use of old industrial buildings, turning them into mixed-use structures, providing interesting and rewarding opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Annapolis, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00/hr.
