Job Description: Superintendent Industry: Construction - General Contractor Location: Bessemer, AL (Job sites within a 2-hour radius of Birmingham, including Huntsville, Chattanooga, Montgomery. Upcoming work in GA and Knoxville) Position Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time)About the Company: C.N. Bailey & Co is a well-established general contractor specializing in building fast food restaurants across the Southeast, including Taco Bell, Milo's, Taziki's, and 7 Brew Coffee. Family founded; the company has built a strong reputation for high-quality construction with over 40 years of industry experience. The company also engages in commercial office building projects and is licensed in several states.Key Responsibilities:Reading and Interpreting Plans: Understanding and executing construction plans, drawings, and blueprints.Build-Outs: Oversee and manage the construction of restaurant build-outs, from start to finish.Close-Outs/Punch Lists: Ensure that the job sites are completed to specifications and manage the close-out process for all projects.On-Site Management: Manage on-site labor, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to project timelines.Project Reporting: Regularly report on the status of projects, issues encountered, and the progress made towards completion.Qualifications:Experience in construction (preferably in commercial or residential construction).A degree in building science or a related field (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering) preferred.Understanding of construction processes and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Experience in managing commercial construction projects from start to finish a plus.Deep understanding of building plans, schedules, and closeout processes a plus.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams of workers a plus.Experience with fast-food restaurant builds is preferred but not required.Cultural Fit:Ideal candidates will align with the company's strong values of integrity, teamwork, and dedication to high-quality work.Most employees stay with the company long-term and retire with us.Compensation & Benefits:Bonus Potential: up to 10k annuallyCompany truck provided for work-related travel.BCBS Health Insurance, Dental, Vision.401k with a 4% company match.Aflac supplemental insurance.7 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid time off.Paid week between Christmas and New Year's.
