A heavy civil contractor specializing in earthmoving, utility installation, and structural development for public, industrial, and commercial projects is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily operations on heavy civil projects dealing with highways and roadways. This role would ideally be based out of Detroit or Ann Arbor areas
Responsibilities:
Manage daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and teams to ensure projects stay on schedule.
Monitor work quality and enforce safety and environmental compliance throughout all phases.
Maintain detailed daily logs of activities, materials, visitors, and issues on-site.
Travel between multiple job sites, balancing workloads and resolving conflicts efficiently.
Lead by example to keep job sites organized, clean, and compliant with waste disposal and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or a minimum of 3 years of field construction experience with strong time management skills.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with subcontractors, clients, and team members.
Experienced working in earthmoving projects
