You will manage projects from initial purchase order through final completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position requires strong leadership, deep construction knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, with a particular emphasis on scheduling and clean room work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring strict adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee the full implementation process from work preparation handoff through final delivery, taking ownership of projects from purchase order to completion.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox meetings to maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
  • Provide operational leadership to the entire field and executive team, as well as subcontractors, ensuring they are organized, supported, and able to perform their work effectively.
  • Plan and coordinate daily and long-range work activities so that projects are executed according to established quality criteria, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Lead and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams, fostering seamless collaboration and resolving conflicts to keep work progressing smoothly.
  • Monitor project schedules closely, with a strong emphasis on sequencing and scheduling, and adjust plans as needed to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Track and manage project budgets, including financial monitoring and settlement of projects, to ensure work is completed within financial targets.
  • Prepare, review, and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and take-offs, ensuring all documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify that all work meets industry standards, client expectations, and clean room or specialized facility requirements.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing clear updates, addressing concerns, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the construction process, ensuring expectations are managed and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Use project management and construction software tools, including MS Project, Procore, Sage, and other digital platforms, for scheduling, reporting, documentation, and coordination.
  • Coordinate and support work on ground-up construction, office fit-outs, and renovation projects, particularly within clean room, healthcare, manufacturing, and semiconductor environments.
  • Ensure proper staffing and qualification of the executive and field staff, including providing guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, safety documentation, and compliance records.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, or issues early and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track and aligned with client and company goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including estimating, project management, and accounting, to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned, contributing to best practices, and participating in professional development and training opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar leadership role in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction project management.
  • 7-10+ years of experience managing high-end projects, particularly clean room, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and related technical environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial construction projects, including ground-up builds, office fit-outs, and renovations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Expertise in construction project management, including project scheduling, budgeting, subcontract management, and field coordination.
  • Hands-on experience managing change orders, RFIs, submittals, and take-offs within complex commercial or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software such as MS Project, Procore, and Sage for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise field staff, subcontractors, and executive teams in a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
  • Strong emphasis on scheduling and the ability to plan, sequence, and coordinate multiple trades and activities on active job sites.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations, with the ability to enforce safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Experience with commercial, clean room, biopharma, healthcare, manufacturing, or semiconductor projects.
  • Ability to manage projects ranging from approximately $500K to $20M, with a core focus around $3-5M project sizes.
