Job Description
Building and Construction Superintendent
As a Building and Construction Superintendent in Buffalo, NY you will:
- Lead all day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA compliance
- Monitor construction quality and ensure adherence to plans and specifications
- Conduct site inspections and subcontractor meetings
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively
- Track project progress and communicate updates to project stakeholders
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Manage punch-list completion and project closeout activities

The ideal Building and Construction Superintendent in Buffalo, NY candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial or residential construction
- Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades
- Thorough knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-family residential construction experience
- Mixed-use development experience
- Experience with renovation and adaptive reuse projects
- Background managing occupied or phased construction projects
