Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the field execution of restaurant construction and renovation projects throughout the Collingswood, NJ area. This role will be responsible for managing daily jobsite operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Manage all field operations for restaurant construction and renovation projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and vendors throughout project execution.
  • Maintain short-term and long-term project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee demolition, framing, MEP installations, kitchen equipment coordination, finishes, and final turnover.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are achieved.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations.
  • Coordinate work in occupied and operational environments when necessary.
  • Identify and resolve field issues that could impact project schedules or budgets.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
  • Manage punch-list completion, owner walkthroughs, inspections, and project closeout activities.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Profile

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
  • Proven experience managing restaurant, hospitality, retail, or interior construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant construction sequencing, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Experience coordinating kitchen equipment installations, specialty vendors, and MEP trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong scheduling and subcontractor management experience.
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project schedules.
