Superintendent - Commercial Construction

The Superintendent will oversee construction projects in the property industry, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing teams and subcontractors while coordinating all on-site activities.

Client Details

Our client has completed over 1000 projects in the state of Maine. Located in the greater Portland area, we cover the entirety of the state with both commercial and public projects. We are seeking a Superintendent for the greater Augusta region as we have a heavy pipeline of work for the foreseeable future in the area.

Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for

• Manage on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Review project plans and specifications to ensure proper execution of tasks.
• Resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide updates.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• Experience with managing construction projects in the property industry.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate on-site teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
