Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Charleston SC

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead healthcare and commercial construction projects throughout the Charleston, South Carolina market. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex ground-up and renovation projects while working with a highly respected contractor known for its strong culture and repeat client base.

Description

• Lead field operations for healthcare, commercial, multifamily, and other construction projects.
• Manage projects independently from mobilisation through completion.
• Oversee day-to-day site activities, safety, quality, scheduling, and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate closely with project teams, clients, design partners, and trade partners.
• Support the successful delivery of ground-up and renovation projects ranging from approximately $10M to $50M.
• Play a key role in healthcare projects, including work for leading regional healthcare systems.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Work on projects located within approximately 1.5 hours of Charleston, minimising overnight travel.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent leading construction projects independently.
• Background in healthcare construction strongly preferred.
• Experience with MRI room construction is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering commercial, multifamily, or healthcare projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage field teams, subcontractors, and project schedules.
• Stable employment history with a track record of long-term tenure.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
