Job Details

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to run ground up retail and grocery store projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of ground up retail and grocery store projects
Establish schedules and control costs within contract budget, plans, and specifications
Direct job site personnel, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and procurement
Serve as point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards on site
Document schedules, RFIs, work orders, meeting minutes, back charges, purchase orders, and safety reports
Track payroll and performance of direct reports

Qualifications:
Five to ten years minimum of superintendent experience on ground up commercial projects
Direct experience building retail buildings and large grocery stores
Must be local to Utah
Proven ability to manage schedules, project costs, and subcontractors on active job sites
Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills over crews and direct reports
Strong knowledge of building processes and construction methods
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Understanding of all construction trades and subcontractor scopes of work
Basic understanding of accounting principles and job cost control
Experience with project documentation including RFIs, back charges, purchase orders, and meeting minutes
