COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENT (HEALTHCARE PROJECTS – CAROLINAS)
A privately held construction management firm is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support complex commercial healthcare projects across the Carolinas. This is a confidential search for a highly respected builder delivering hospitals, medical campuses, and occupied healthcare environments. The organization is known for its strong safety culture, quality standards, and long-term investment in its people.
THE ROLE
- Superintendent role leading field operations on commercial healthcare projects
- Manage subcontractors, site execution, safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Oversee complex, occupied, and technically demanding project environments
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead jobsite safety culture and enforce compliance standards
- Conduct daily huddles and manage subcontractor coordination
- Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and scheduling
- Supervise installation work per drawings, specs, and submittals
- Manage RFIs, shop drawings, and field documentation
- Lead quality control, inspections, punch lists, and closeout
- Coordinate inspections and work with local authorities
- Facilitate subcontractor coordination meetings and project meetings
- Maintain daily reports and resolve field issues to maintain productivity
- Assist with shutdowns, tie-ins, and occupied facility work
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience
- Prior Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent experience required
- Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in occupied/live environments
- Strong understanding of construction documents, RFIs, and submittals
- OSHA 30 certified
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
