Superintendent (Commercial/Industrial)

The Superintendent is responsible for leading and coordinating daily field operations on Lantz commercial and industrial construction projects. This role provides hands-on oversight of jobsite activities, directing Lantz crews and subcontractors through all phases of construction to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Works closely in the field with project managers, clients, architects, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to maintain schedules, address jobsite challenges, and drive timely project completion.

Required Skills, Education and Experience

• Ability to independently manage projects from pre-construction, through all construction phases to completion
• Understand scopes of work, contract language, authority jurisdiction and specialty inspection procedures as well as site layouts specifics
• Ensure required inspections are completed, coordinate installation of permanent utilities, track schedule progress and provide 3-week look ahead schedule, review submittals to ensure timely material delivery
• Monitor progress and quality of subcontracted work as well as scheduling of their work
• Conduct demonstrations and instruction when needed and hold weekly meetings to stay on schedule and communicate updates/changes
• Complete punch list items throughout the project and finalize at the end
• Ensure project gets certificate of occupancy and client is pleased with the project
• Read and understand the full scope of commercial blueprints
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry as a Superintendent
• Competent in various computer applications (e.g., MS-Office, MS-Excel, Procore, Bluebeam)
• Ability to contribute and share knowledge with others and work cohesively with others
• Positive attitude and works with integrity
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client satisfaction

Preferred Skills, Education and Experience

• Varied experience with commercial projects in excess of 2 million

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must have leadership qualities with emphasis on motivation, development and mentorship of others
• Must have valid driver license and acceptable driving history

• OSHA 30-HOUR for Construction
• Hazwoper
• CPR/First Aid
• Certified Lead Renovator
• ASHE trained
• Responsible Land Disturber
