Birkmeyer General Contractors is a growing Arizona-based commercial general contractor specializing in QSR, restaurant, retail, and ground-up commercial construction throughout the Phoenix metro area. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with strong ground-up construction experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects and leading successful jobsites from start to finish.

This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who can manage complex projects, maintain schedules, coordinate multiple trades, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage all onsite construction activities from sitework through project closeout
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and material deliveries
• Maintain and drive project schedules while proactively resolving field issues
• Oversee daily jobsite safety and enforce OSHA standards
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and utility providers
• Review plans, specifications, and subcontractor scopes for coordination conflicts
• Conduct daily site walks and maintain high-quality workmanship standards
• Update daily logs, progress photos, and jobsite documentation using Procore
• Maintain accurate project documentation and field communication in Procore
• Manage punch lists, turnover, and final closeout activities
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, landlords, engineers, and inspectors

Qualifications

• MUST have ground-up commercial construction experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Experience with QSR, restaurant, retail, and tenant improvement projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, including sitework, foundations, structural, MEP, and finish trades
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing schedules and coordinating inspections and utilities
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Procore experience preferred
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
