Superintendent

Full-Time | $120 – $145K, depending on experience 
Summary:
  • Schedule, coordinate and supervise Mechanical craft employee activities.
  • Supervising one or more trade groups, including electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, and similar within the construction industry.  
Job Duties:
  • Resource Management: Plan and supervise Equipment Start Up and Commissioning process, Assistant Superintendent (on larger projects) and/or craft activities such as, determining method of construction, workforce levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.  Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craft activities and project schedules. 
  • Project Planning and Strategy: Coordinate assigned work with the work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors. 
  • Risk Management: Assist the Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and as necessary the labor approach for the projects assigned.  Monitor craft compliance with project safety programrequirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented. 
  • Team Leadership: Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.  Experience assisting in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity and work interfaces is required. 
  • Overall, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects that drive significant growth and innovation within the organization and serve our client’s needs. 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures
  • Strong Mechanical background on Data Center projects (or comparable large scale projects) is preferred
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups
  • Prior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $50M value
  • A valid driver’s license in the US required; and willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+%
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements. 
Preferred:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong history of leading, motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations
  • Successful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets
