Job Details

Position: Superintendent
Locations: Danville, Illinois & Urbana, Illinois
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field construction operations related to project safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, reporting, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships. This role ensures projects are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all field construction activities from project start through completion
Maintain project safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance
Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, and on-site operations to meet deadlines and budgets
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and project teams
Review construction documents, blueprints, and project schedules
Identify project challenges and implement effective solutions
Support collaborative and respectful team environments through servant leadership principles
Ensure quality control and adherence to healthcare construction standards, including infection control requirements
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction or equivalent industry experience
Valid driver’s license
First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire
Strong blueprint reading and field leadership skills
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and project scheduling tools
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Basic technology proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
10+ years of healthcare or commercial construction experience
Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification
Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) certification
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, and Word
Experience leading BIM and Lean construction practices
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
