The Superintendent will oversee all on-site activities for construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Client Details

A well-established commercial construction management firm is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring high-quality project delivery from groundbreaking through closeout.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, extensive commercial construction experience, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Description

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any delays or issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and addressing potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and change orders.
• Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve challenges.
• Oversee the quality of work to ensure it meets specified standards and client expectations.
• Manage the procurement and delivery of materials to keep projects on schedule.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Proven experience with healthcare, corporate, retail, hospitality, institutional, or similar commercial projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and project sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Open to local travel locations
