Job Description
The Superintendent - Education/Federal - Northern, VA will be responsible for:
- Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Manage site logistics, scheduling, safety compliance, and quality control initiatives
- Coordinate daily with project management teams, owners, architects, and consultants
- Drive project progress and proactively resolve field-related challenges
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget expectations
- Conduct regular jobsite meetings and maintain accurate project documentation
- Monitor sitework operations and coordinate critical construction sequencing activities
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally on-site
- Mentor assistant superintendents and field staff while fostering a positive team culture

The Successful Applicant
A successful Superintendent - Education/Federal - Northern, VA should have:
- Experience as a Superintendent on ground-up construction projects
- Previous experience managing K-12, higher education, municipal, commercial, or similar large-scale projects preferred
- Ability to oversee projects ranging from $30M to $150M+ in value
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and site logistics
- Proven track record of managing subcontractors and driving project schedules
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with significant sitework scopes is highly desirable
- Ability to work onsite throughout Northern Virginia project locations
