Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all onsite construction operations from project startup through completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively addressing potential delays.
- Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Monitor project quality and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain project documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align field operations with project goals.
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and workforce planning.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate project activities.
- Resolve field issues and communicate solutions effectively with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Support project closeout activities, punch lists, and final inspections.
Profile
A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
- Proven experience managing projects from groundbreaking to closeout.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and quality control processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
