Job Title: Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage a variety of construction projects with a focus on pre-construction planning, project coordination, and execution. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial construction and possess excellent leadership skills to drive projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all pre-construction tasks, including building crisis management plans, schedules, site logistics plans, site-specific rules and regulations, and safety plans.
  • Oversee field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers engaged in assigned projects, including conducting daily huddles, weekly work plans, job site coordination, and delivery of materials.
  • Develop, manage, and implement the project schedule, making adjustments as necessary, and work closely with the Project Management team to ensure the schedule remains updated.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team throughout the project to select subcontractors, write RFIs, and develop and track the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Work with the Quality Control team to ensure project-specific requirements are met and implement the site-specific Quality Control plan.
  • Ensure all on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection books, are updated and current, and assist in the documentation of As-Built drawings.
  • Ensure alignment of project budget, including labor, materials, and equipment, and work with the Project Management team to assess weekly/monthly cost projections and expenditures.
  • Manage the overall site labor, material, and equipment budget for the duration of the project.
  • Ensure completion of all project closeout tasks, including punch list execution, commissioning, final inspections, and owner training.
  • Provide intentional leadership for the project team in Lean methodologies, standard work, and Pull-Plan sessions.
  • Drive a safe environment by leading job safety meetings and orientations, ensuring OSHA and other required rules and regulations are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Support and follow standard work, and participate in the implementation of Lean and continuous improvement culture.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience working in commercial construction.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience in construction, commercial construction, and estimation.
  • Proficiency in managing large or complex projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with subcontractors.
  • Specialization in healthcare, education, manufacturing, or large commercial projects.
  • Exp. in construction management.

Work Environment

The position requires working on large or complex construction projects, often involving healthcare, education, manufacturing, or large commercial sectors. The role necessitates collaboration with various teams and adherence to safety and quality control standards. The work environment is dynamic, emphasizing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Benefits are good, strong bonus and PTO package
