Description

We are seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial interiors, secure-space, and federal construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving projects from kickoff through closeout.

Description

The Superintendent - Federal/Commercial Interiors - NoVA will:

  • Manage daily on-site construction activities from project startup through completion.
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively drive milestones to meet client deadlines.
  • Enforce quality standards, safety requirements, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site walks, inspections, and oversee punch list completion.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field-related issues.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders on-site.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to align project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.
  • Travel to project locations as needed throughout the region and across the country.

Profile

The Superintendent - Federal/Commercial Interiors - NoVA will have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial interior construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing tenant improvements, renovations, fit-outs, or occupied-space projects.
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and safety programs.
  • Experience with Procore and Bluebeam preferred.
  • SCIF, secure facility, federal, defense, or classified project experience is highly desirable.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to review construction documents and manage field execution independently.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
