Description
The Superintendent - Ground-Up Commercial - Baltimore will be responsible for:
- Leading all day-to-day construction activities on active project sites.
- Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain project schedules and milestones.
- Driving project safety, quality control, and production performance.
- Developing, updating, and managing short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate closely with foremen, project teams, and fellow Superintendents to maintain efficient field operations.
- Serve as the primary on-site leader on smaller projects and oversee multiple field personnel on larger projects.
- Managing construction projects from sitework through building systems commissioning.
- Ensuring successful delivery of complex at-risk construction projects while maintaining client satisfaction.
Profile
The Superintendent - Ground-Up Commercial - Baltimore should have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience with a General Contractor.
- Experience delivering vertical ground-up construction projects.
- Strong preference for candidates who advanced through the trades, particularly from a carpentry background.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and understand all major construction systems.
- Experience with scheduling software and construction technology platforms such as Primavera P6, AutoDesk, PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with secure government, mission-critical, SCIF, clean room, or defense-related projects is highly desirable.
- Active security clearance is a plus but not required.
- Must be comfortable working hands-on in the field and assisting with construction activities when needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
