The Superintendent will lead all on-site field operations for ground-up construction projects, from sitework through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while managing all field personnel and subcontractors.

Our client is a well-established general contractor with a strong presence across Connecticut, delivering ground-up commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. They are known for financial stability, repeat clients, and a consistent pipeline of new construction work throughout the Hartford region.
Description
- Oversee ground-up construction projects from sitework through completion
- Manage all on-site operations including excavation, concrete, steel, and finishes
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams daily
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules
- Monitor jobsite productivity, progress, and sequencing of trades
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
- Lead subcontractor meetings and daily field coordination
- Enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and company standards
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and local building requirements
- Drive project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover

Profile
A successful Superintendent should have:
- 5-15+ years of Superintendent experience in ground-up construction
- Experience with commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects
- Strong background in sitework, concrete, steel, and full building lifecycle
- Proven ability managing multiple subcontractors and trades
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite compliance
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or construction management software
- Ability to lead projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
