Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the field operations of a ground-up multifamily construction project in Matawan, New Jersey. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality throughout construction.

Our client is a reputable New Jersey-based General Contractor specializing in multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial construction projects throughout the Northeast. With a strong pipeline of upcoming developments, they are seeking a field leader who can successfully drive large-scale residential projects from groundbreaking through turnover.
Description
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for a ground-up multifamily project.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Lead daily subcontractor coordination meetings and site walks.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and building codes.
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe, organized jobsite.
- Monitor quality control and proactively address field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, punch list activities, and project closeout requirements.
- Review drawings and identify potential conflicts, constructability concerns, and schedule impacts.
- Maintain detailed daily reports and communicate project progress to ownership and senior management.
- Assist with sequencing, logistics planning, and material deliveries to ensure efficient project execution.

Profile
A successful Superintendent - Ground-Up Multifamily Construction should have:
- 8+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.
- Proven experience leading ground-up multifamily construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety practices, and quality control.
- Experience managing large teams of subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Stable employment history with a track record of successfully delivering multifamily projects on time and within budget.
