We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team in the Construction industry. This critical role will oversee and manage all aspects of our healthcare commercial construction projects, including hospitals, healthcare clinics, medical office buildings (MOBs), libraries, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and multifamily housing. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering large projects on time and within budget, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all day-to-day operations of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

2. Supervising all on-site construction, including subcontractor coordination, conflict resolution, and compliance with all safety and building regulations.

3. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication, timely resolution of issues, and client satisfaction.

4. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and state regulations.

5. Collaborating with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, and to manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.

6. Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the company's standards, contractual agreements, and quality control standards.

Qualifications

To qualify for this challenging and rewarding role, candidates must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare commercial construction.

2. Proven experience managing large projects, including hospitals, healthcare clinics, MOBs, libraries, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and multifamily housing. MUST HAVE: Experience building $20M+ in the DMV area.

3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety requirements.

4. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage, motivate, and discipline teams.

5. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate.

6. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.

7. A valid construction supervisor license or equivalent.

8. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
