As part of our continued growth under the One Norlee platform we are expanding our Healthcare Division and looking to add talented motivated professionals to our team.Position SummaryThe Electrical Superintendent - Healthcare Division oversees all field operations for healthcare electrical projects including hospitals surgical centers and medical facilities. This role ensures work is performed safely on schedule and in full compliance with life-safety infection-control and regulatory requirements. The Superintendent provides leadership to foremen and field crews while coordinating closely with hospital staff general contractors and project management teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee multiple healthcare electrical projects simultaneouslyLead and support Healthcare Foremen electricians and field supervisorsDevelop manpower plans work schedules and phasing plans for occupied facilitiesEnsure compliance with NEC NFPA 70 NFPA 99 NFPA 110 and hospital requirementsCoordinate shutdowns tie-ins and emergency work without disrupting patient careEnforce hospital safety PPE ICRA and infection-control proceduresConduct jobsite audits safety walks and quality inspectionsReview drawings specifications and life-safety system requirementsCoordinate with hospital facilities teams inspectors and general contractorsResolve field conflicts access issues and compliance challengesOversee material staging storage and deliveries in restricted hospital areasSupport inspections commissioning and regulatory approvalsTrack field productivity manpower and schedule adherenceMentor and develop healthcare foremen and electriciansMaintain accurate field reports and compliance documentationRequired QualificationsJourneyman Electrician license where required by jurisdiction10 years of commercial or healthcare electrical construction experience3 years in a Superintendent or senior leadership roleExtensive knowledge of hospital electrical systems and life-safety codesExperience working in occupied and operational healthcare facilitiesAbility to read and interpret healthcare drawings and specificationsValid drivers license and reliable transportationAbility to pass background checks and drug screeningPreferred QualificationsOSHA-30 certificationExperience managing large hospital or medical campus projectsKnowledge of ICRA interim life-safety measures ILSM and hospital complianceExperience with nurse call emergency power and critical branch systemsSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and crew management skillsExcellent communication and coordination abilitiesSafety-driven and compliance-focused mindsetStrong planning scheduling and problem-solving skillsAbility to make decisions in high-risk time-sensitive environmentsProfessional demeanor when working with hospital administrators and staffWork EnvironmentThis role requires frequent presence in active healthcare facilities including patient areas operating rooms and critical-care environments.
