Job Details:
We are currently seeking a Superintendent to join our team, specializing in Healthcare Projects within the Construction industry. This individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within time and budget constraints. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating all project activities, including coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with OSHA regulations and construction safety standards applicable to active jobsite environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Review and understand all contract documents, plans, specifications, and addenda.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are carried out according to plan.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with company and site safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily reports, estimates, and deliverables.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in construction management, specifically within the healthcare sector.
  • Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards applicable to active jobsite environments.
  • Proficient in construction management systems and software.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
  • Outstanding leadership, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and operations.
  • Ability to meet multiple project deadlines.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
