Specialty Contractor SuperintendentMy client is a well-established and nationally recognized drywall subcontractor with more than 30 years of experience, headquartered in Indianapolis and serving commercial and multifamily projects throughout the Midwest. For professionals seeking stability, career advancement, and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects with a respected specialty contractor, this is an outstanding place to grow.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent's ResponsibilitiesManage subcontractor and vendor invoice approvals while maintaining accurate cost tracking and ensuring projects remain within budget.Monitor project financial performance by identifying cost overruns, preparing budget variance reports, and communicating risks proactively.Lead project startup activities, including job setup, submittals, RFIs, and manpower planning.Maintain project schedules, administer change orders, and oversee T&M ticket processing and approvals.Coordinate labor, material procurement, equipment, and field resources while participating in weekly manpower planning meetings.Partner closely with Superintendents to resolve field challenges, conduct regular site visits, and ensure quality workmanship and production goals are achieved.Build strong relationships with general contractor project teams to drive schedule adherence, clear communication, and successful project execution.Prepare monthly cost forecasts, billings, budget updates, quarterly workload reviews, and annual performance evaluations to support overall project and business objectives.The Successful Superintendent will5+ years of project management experience overseeing drywall and/or metal framing scopes on commercial or multifamily construction projects.Proven ability to step into projects quickly and manage them independently with minimal ramp-up.Strong understanding of construction budgeting, contract administration, project documentation, and change order management.Experience collaborating effectively with general contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.Proficiency in managing submittals, O&M manuals, warranties, closeout documentation, and other project records with a high level of accuracy.Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.What's on the Offer for the Superintendent:Competitive base salary of $100,000-$110,000.Performance-based annual bonus ranging from 5%-13% of base salary.Direct access to executive leadership with one of the Midwest's premier specialty subcontractors.Collaborative, family-oriented culture featuring casual Friday team lunches and open communication.Enjoy unique office perks, including an on-site golf simulator.
