Superintendent – Industrial / Light Industrial Construction

A long-standing and financially secure general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial and light industrial construction projects. This role carries full responsibility for on-site execution, including safety, schedule, quality, and coordination of all trades.

This position requires travel to active project sites and is best suited for a Superintendent who prefers to be in the field, setting the pace of work, solving problems as they arise, and delivering complex projects in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations from mobilization through project completion
  • Develop and manage site logistics, sequencing plans, and short-interval schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and daily site activities
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a strong safety culture on site
  • Drive productivity and address field issues to keep projects on schedule
  • Work closely with Project Managers to align field execution with project objectives
  • Review plans and specifications to identify and resolve conflicts early
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting, progress tracking, and look-ahead planning
  • Represent the company on site with owners, inspectors, and design partners

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on industrial or light industrial projects
  • Experience with food and beverage production, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, or similar project type
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, means and methods, and site logistics
  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors in active construction environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Construction-related education or training preferred
